Annual Communication

The Annual Communication of the American Canadian Grand Lodge was held in Bad Kissingen from Thursday 27 April to Saturday 29 April 2017 and attended by the WBro. Michael Römer as Worshipful Master of this Lodge and representative of its Brethren. Members of the Grand Line gave their annual reports, along with those of the various Committees and the Districts, and the financial standing of the Grand Lodge was presented along with a budget for the coming Masonic year. The Grand Lodge remains on a solid financial footing, despite many cost-intensive changes which have been necessary over the last two years.

The elections for new Grand Line Officers were carried through, with all nominated candidates accepting their election. Nominations for the various Appointments and the Committees were promulgated by the Grand Master immediately following his Installation. A very serene and moving Lodge of Sorrows was held, to remember those Brethren who have laid down their earthly tools and gone on to higher demands.

Our own District Deputy Grand Master, VWBro. Jonny Henke, steps down from his appointment after two years of hard and successful work for the Grand Lodge and the District. His successor was named as VWBro. Adam An-tAthair-Siorai, who also continues working in the Committee of Works and the Finance Way and Means Committee. Bro. Philip Crusius was also confirmed as Grand Historian for a second year.

As always the Grand Lodge Annual Communication was a chance to meet up with old friends and make new acquaintances from a very broad spectrum of brethren, allowing for lighthearted enjoyment as much as serious contemplation.
